"Other people need God's financial blessing more than I do right now"
How it sounds in your head: There are single moms, missionaries, people in real crisis. I've lived my life already. Who am I to ask for abundance when others are desperate? I should pray for them to be blessed instead. Taking God's provision feels like stealing from someone who needs it more.
"Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this, says the LORD of hosts, if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it."
-- Malachi 3:10Scarcity theology says God's supply is limited, making you compete for blessing and disqualify yourself from receiving.
You see genuine need everywhere and feel selfish asking for yourself. At 70+, you've had your turn—doesn't God prioritize the young, the desperate? Wanting blessing feels like taking bread from hungrier mouths.
She had one meal left for herself and her son, yet God told her to feed Elijah FIRST. She obeyed, and the flour and oil never ran out—provision for EVERYONE, not competition. Her receiving didn't starve her son; abundance multiplied for ALL.
I REFUSE the lie that others need God's blessing more than I do. IT IS WRITTEN that He opens heaven's windows and pours out blessing with NO ROOM to contain it—that's not scarcity, that's ABUNDANCE FOR ALL. The widow fed Elijah and still had enough for her son—provision multiplied, not divided. God didn't bless Abraham INSTEAD of Isaac; He blessed BOTH through covenant. IT IS WRITTEN: The BARAK blessing is mine as Abraham's seed. My receiving doesn't steal from another—it demonstrates God's limitless supply. I am the Father's beloved daughter, and He runs toward me with abundance just like He runs toward every child.
The Father doesn't portion blessing like limited rations—He opens heaven's floodgates. The prodigal's feast didn't deplete the older son's inheritance; the Father had abundance for BOTH, because He is the God of MORE THAN ENOUGH.
