LIE: My weakness is a burden. TRUTH: God's strength is PERFECTED in your weakness—it's His showcase. 2 Cor 12:9

"I'm not athletic or coordinated—I should be strong and sporty like the other guys."

LIE: Not athletic, less valuable. TRUTH: God looks at HEART, not muscle. 1 Sam 16:7. Your body is RIGHT.

"People from my culture don't get the same opportunities—God's favor is for others, not us."

LIE: God favors other groups more. TRUTH: God shows NO partiality—you're Abraham's seed. (Acts 10:34; Gal 3:29)

"Real Christians don't get divorced, so my parents aren't really saved or I'm not either."

LIE: Divorce proves they're not saved. TRUTH: Salvation is by grace through faith, not perfect circumstances. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

"The church won't accept me—I'm damaged goods, the guy who couldn't keep it together."

LIE: Church won't accept me. TRUTH: God is NEAR to the brokenhearted and welcomes you as you are (Ps 34:18).

"I'll graduate high school never having been kissed and that proves I'm undesirable."

LIE: Unkissed at 18 means undesirable. TRUTH: God's thoughts are peace & hope - I'm on HIS timeline (Jer 29:11)

"I'm too set in my ways. No woman could tolerate my routines and limitations at this stage."

LIE: Too limited to love. TRUTH: You are all fair, NO FLAW in you. Song of Solomon 4:7

"Everyone else got the career clarity I'm still praying for—God answers them, not me."

LIE: No clarity means no plan. TRUTH: God directs my steps even without the full map. (Proverbs 16:9)

"I should feel grateful just to be alive and not ask for more."

LIE: Just be grateful. TRUTH: God does EXCEEDINGLY ABUNDANTLY above what you ask—Ephesians 3:20. Ask big!

"I'm not lovable because I can't have children or didn't become a mother."

LIE: Childless means unlovable. TRUTH: God gives you a name BETTER than sons/daughters—worth isn't in your womb. (Isa 56:5)

"I'm too needy and dependent now—real love is only for people who have something to give."

LIE: My neediness makes me unlovable. TRUTH: His strength is PERFECT in your weakness—dependence qualifies you for His power (2 Cor 12:9)

"I'm too broken from what happened to me—I'll never be whole again."

LIE: Too broken. TRUTH: God gives you a NEW heart—you're a new creation in Christ. Ezek 36:26

"I failed as a father and husband—I was absent, harsh, or emotionally unavailable, and it's too late to fix."

LIE: I failed as a father and it's too late. TRUTH: Instead of shame, double honor—Isaiah 61:7. God restores what I broke.

"You've been serving in church for years, but leadership never asks your opinion. You're invisible to the people you serve."

LIE: Church leadership doesn't see me. TRUTH: God looks at the heart and SEES everything. 1 Samuel 16:7. Promotion comes from Him.

"Your children have moved on with their lives. You're no longer central to anyone's daily world."

LIE: You're peripheral now. TRUTH: God's thoughts of you outnumber sand on beaches. Psalm 139:17

"No one invites me to anything because I'm boring."

LIE: Boring, forgettable. TRUTH: You are PRECIOUS, HONORED, LOVED in His sight—not overlooked. Isa 43:4

"Real community requires participation. I can't participate anymore, so I'm outside the circle."

LIE: Can't participate, so I'm out. TRUTH: Set in the Body by HIS pleasure (1Cor 12:18)—BEING is participation.

"I'll start tithing when I get a real job after college, not now."

LIE: Wait for real job to tithe. TRUTH: Honor God with firstfruits of ALL increase - faithfulness in little brings promotion to much. Proverbs 3:9
