"Your generation learned to endure—expecting healing is a millennial entitlement mindset."
How it sounds in your head: You were raised to tough it out, not complain, not make demands of God. This new generation expects everything handed to them, including healing. You know better—faith is quiet perseverance, not loud expectation.
"And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions."
-- Joel 2:28Trauma: Generational stoicism dressed as virtue, where suffering was endured because hope was crushed, now passed down as spiritual maturity.
You watched your parents suffer without complaint, buried friends who never got their healing, learned that demanding anything from God was presumptuous. Younger people's confidence feels disrespectful to those who endured.
Caleb was 85 YEARS OLD and declared, 'I am as strong this day as on the day Moses sent me... as my strength was then, so now is my strength.' He didn't accept decline—he CLAIMED his inheritance at 85, demanded his mountain, and took it. He refused old-age limitation and received OLD-AGE STRENGTH.
I REFUSE the lie that my generation should just endure. IT IS WRITTEN: your OLD MEN shall dream dreams—the Spirit's outpouring is for MY generation too. I am not too old for fresh vision, new strength, healing power. I am a branch attached to the ageless Vine—He doesn't retire me at 60. IT IS WRITTEN: they shall still bear fruit in OLD AGE, fresh and flourishing. Like Caleb at 85, I claim MY inheritance. I will NOT accept decline as God's will. The BARAK blessing covering Abraham didn't expire with age—it INCREASED. I am Abraham's seed through Christ, and my covenant promises don't have expiration dates. Expecting healing isn't entitlement—it's the confidence of a daughter who knows her Father's nature. IT IS WRITTEN: I am the LORD who heals you—present tense, MY generation included.
The Father isn't impressed with your generation's stoic suffering—He's heartbroken by it. He's running toward you like He ran to the prodigal, not to praise your endurance but to RESTORE your joy. He's the Father who gave Caleb STRENGTH at 85, who poured out His Spirit on OLD MEN to dream dreams, and He's celebrating your fresh fruit, your flourishing, your REFUSAL to accept less than His promises for your years.
