"God doesn't work supernaturally anymore; He works through doctors and medicine now."
How it sounds in your head: God gave us doctors and medicine for a reason. Expecting supernatural healing is immature faith. The mature approach is using the medical tools He provided and being grateful for modern medicine instead of asking for miracles.
"And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all."
-- Acts 3:16Source: Religious pragmatism teaching that expecting God to move supernaturally is presumptuous and irresponsible.
She's been told mature faith works with reality, that God helps those who help themselves through practical means. Doctors are tangible; miracles feel like wishful thinking that could make her delay real treatment.
Lame from birth, over 40 years old, carried daily to beg because he couldn't walk. Peter had no money, no medical training—just the name of Jesus. IMMEDIATELY his feet and ankles were made strong, he jumped up, walked, and leaped praising God.
I REFUSE the lie that God only works through medicine now. IT IS WRITTEN: Acts 3:16 - His name has made this man strong and given him perfect soundness. The same power that healed in the book of Acts is available today. I honor doctors, but I am not LIMITED to doctors. I am Abraham's seed, blessed with the BARAK blessing of health and wholeness. IT IS WRITTEN: 3 John 1:2 - I pray you prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers. God's will is my supernatural health, available instantly through His name.
Your Father loves doctors—He made their hands skillful—but He doesn't NEED them to heal you. While religion tells you to lower your expectations, He's ready to display His power in your body the way He did for the lame beggar who walked for the first time at over 40 years old.
