"Rich people are bad, so wanting wealth means I'm becoming a bad person."
How it sounds in your head: Jesus said it's hard for rich people to get to heaven. The Bible talks about rich people ignoring the poor. If I want to be wealthy, does that mean I'm choosing money over God? Maybe wanting success makes me worldly.
"And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day."
-- Deuteronomy 8:18Religion demonized wealth instead of the LOVE of money, creating false choice between God and provision.
He's heard 'money is the root of evil' misquoted his whole life and seen wealthy people criticized. The enemy makes prosperity seem incompatible with godliness.
Abraham was 'very rich in livestock, silver, and gold'—so wealthy it caused problems with his nephew. God called him HIS FRIEND and made him father of faith. Wealth didn't disqualify him; God CHOSE a rich man as the example of righteousness by faith.
I REFUSE the lie that wealth makes me evil! IT IS WRITTEN that GOD gives me power to get wealth to establish HIS covenant. I am Abraham's seed, and the BARAK blessing includes prosperity. Rich people aren't bad—disconnected people are. I'm a BRANCH attached to Jesus, producing GOOD fruit automatically. IT IS WRITTEN that money is a tool in my hands to advance His kingdom. I'm not choosing wealth OVER God—I'm receiving wealth FROM God to bless the world!
The Father doesn't make you choose between Him and provision—He IS your provision. He blessed Abraham with wealth, called him friend, and made him the faith example. You're that same seed.
