"I'll be judged for having abundance when others suffer lack."
How it sounds in your head: I imagine people's thoughts when they see my blessings—the new car, the remodeled kitchen, the vacation photos. I brace for judgment, for whispers about priorities and privilege. I shrink my blessings to avoid their eyes.
"Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the LORD blessed him. The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous; for he had possessions of flocks and possessions of herds and a great number of servants. So the Philistines envied him."
-- Genesis 26:12-14Fear of man and religious judgment taught you to hide God's goodness to avoid criticism.
You've been in environments where blessing was suspicious and lack was spiritual. You've watched people torn down for visible prosperity and learned to hide what God gives to avoid becoming the target.
Isaac reaped a hundredfold, became VERY prosperous with flocks, herds, and servants until the Philistines envied him and asked him to leave. God didn't tell Isaac to shrink or apologize—He kept BLESSING him until even his enemies had to acknowledge God's favor.
I REFUSE the lie that I'll be judged for abundance! IT IS WRITTEN that Isaac became VERY prosperous and the Philistines envied him—but God KEPT BLESSING HIM. The BARAK blessing doesn't shrink because of others' opinions! My prosperity isn't up for committee approval. IT IS WRITTEN that when a man's ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies at peace with him. I walk in abundance without apology, covered by covenant, unapologetic in blessing!
Your Father didn't tell the prodigal to sneak in the back door to avoid judgment—He threw a PUBLIC PARTY with music and dancing for all to see! Your Father celebrates your restoration LOUDLY and isn't concerned with the older brother's complaints.
