"Real faith wouldn't need this many prayers; I should have seen results by now"
How it sounds in your head: If my faith was real, one prayer would have been enough. I've prayed for decades—the fact that I'm still asking means my faith is worthless. God must be tired of hearing from me.
"Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, saying: 'There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God... Yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.' ...And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him?'"
-- Luke 18:1-8Source: Enemy twisted 'ask and receive' into one-prayer-only faith, contradicting Jesus' own teaching on persistent prayer.
Ninety years of repeated prayers for the same things feel like evidence of faith failure rather than faithful endurance. Preachers emphasize 'immediate' so often that delayed feels like denied.
Bartimaeus cried out, people told him to shut up, but he 'cried out all the more.' He didn't stop at one prayer—he got LOUDER. Jesus stopped, called him, and healed him immediately, saying 'your faith has made you well.'
I REFUSE the lie that repeated prayers signal weak faith. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus told us to ALWAYS pray and not lose heart—the persistent widow was His example. My decades of asking aren't failure; they're faithfulness. IT IS WRITTEN that Bartimaeus cried out MORE when people told him to stop, and Jesus called it faith. I will not apologize for continued prayer. The BARAK blessing doesn't expire because I've asked before. The Father celebrates my persistence, not criticizes it.
The Father hears your repeated prayers like the widow's persistence—not as annoying repetition but as beautiful faithfulness. He's running toward you not because you finally prayed right, but because He delights in your voice.
