"Real believers don't struggle with doubt like I do"
How it sounds in your head: I see other women so confident in their faith while I question everything. My internal battles must mean I'm not truly saved. Mature Christians don't waver like this.
"And on some have compassion, making a distinction; but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire"
-- Jude 1:22Performance Christianity that demands certainty instead of celebrating honest wrestling
She compares her internal chaos to others' curated external confidence. Church culture rewards certainty and punishes questions, so she hides her struggles.
John the Baptist, who baptized Jesus and heard God's voice, later sent messengers asking 'Are You really the One?' from prison—deep doubt. Jesus didn't condemn him but called him the greatest born of women AFTER the doubt.
I REFUSE the lie that doubt means spiritual failure. IT IS WRITTEN that God has compassion on those who doubt—not anger, not disappointment, but COMPASSION. I am not producing righteousness through certainty; I am BRANCH connected to the VINE, and my identity is secure regardless of my questions. IT IS WRITTEN in Romans 8:1 there is NO condemnation for me in Christ—not 'no condemnation when you stop doubting,' but NO condemnation PERIOD. Abraham believed God and staggered not through unbelief, yet Romans 4:20 shows he was strengthened IN faith, meaning the process included weakness.
The Father doesn't love you more on days you feel certain and less on days you question—His love is anchored in His covenant nature, not your emotional stability. He's not keeping score of your doubts; He's already declared you righteous based on Jesus' performance.
