"I don't have the gift of faith like other people do"
How it sounds in your head: Some people just seem wired to believe God for big things—they're the intercessors, the revivalists, the ones with mountain-moving faith. I must have gotten a different gift. Faith just isn't my thing.
"For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith."
-- Romans 12:3Religious teaching that treats faith as a spiritual gifting some receive and others don't, rather than a universal inheritance.
She's watched certain people in her church operate with bold declarations while she feels hesitant and small. It seems like some got faith and others got serving or administration—and she's in the second category.
An unnamed sinful woman crashed a Pharisee's dinner with no invitation, no words, no theology—just broke expensive perfume on Jesus' feet and wept. Jesus didn't say 'you need the gift of faith'—He said 'your faith has saved you. Go in peace,' proving simple connection outweighs religious performance.
I REFUSE the lie that I lack the faith others have. IT IS WRITTEN that God dealt to EACH ONE a measure of faith, and I am included in 'each one.' My faith isn't deficient—it's a GIFT that came with my salvation. IT IS WRITTEN that the same Spirit who raised Christ from the dead dwells in me (Romans 8:11), and that Spirit carries resurrection power. I am not second-tier, lacking, or left out. I am Abraham's seed, and the BARAK blessing of supernatural provision and protection is mine by covenant. I speak to mountains with the faith I already HAVE, knowing it's not the size of my faith but the size of my God.
The Father isn't comparing your faith to anyone else's—He's celebrating that you showed up at all, like the woman who simply touched His garment in a crowd. One touch. That's all He needs—not a sermon, not a prayer meeting, just connection.
