"I don't deserve breakthrough because I'm not faithful in the small things"
How it sounds in your head: Jesus said 'faithful in little, faithful in much.' I can't even keep a consistent quiet time or tithe regularly. Why would God trust me with bigger blessings when I'm failing at the basics?
"For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away."
-- Matthew 25:29Religion twisting Luke 16:10 into a works-based qualification system where you earn blessing by performing spiritual disciplines correctly.
She's heard sermons on 'faithful in little' and feels like she's stuck at level one—inconsistent Bible reading, guilty giving, sporadic prayer. Breakthrough feels locked behind spiritual discipline she hasn't mastered yet.
A poor widow gave two tiny copper coins—not a tithe, not even close to 10%—while rich people gave large amounts. Jesus didn't rebuke her for not giving more or for lacking financial discipline; He said she gave MORE than all of them because she gave from trust, not calculation. God measures heart, not percentages.
I REFUSE the lie that I must prove faithfulness before receiving blessing. IT IS WRITTEN that to everyone who HAS, more is given, and I HAVE righteousness as a GIFT, not an achievement. I don't earn God's trust through discipline—I already HAVE His favor through Christ's blood. IT IS WRITTEN that the BARAK blessing is mine by covenant, not behavior, and it protected liars and deceivers in the Old Covenant. How much more in the NEW? I am not stuck in probation, earning my way to breakthrough. I am a daughter with full access NOW. Breakthrough isn't a reward for faithfulness—it's an inheritance I already possess. I receive abundantly NOW, not when I've perfected the basics.
The Father isn't withholding blessing until you hit some spiritual metric—He's piling it on you NOW, watching to see if you'll RECEIVE, not perform. The Prodigal didn't get a probation period; he got the robe, ring, and party IMMEDIATELY. That's your Father's heart.
