"My worth is determined by the number on the scale or the size on the tag."
How it sounds in your head: Good days and bad days are determined by what the scale says. You avoid mirrors when you feel 'big' and your mood shifts with every pound fluctuation. You've mentally calculated your value based on your size for so long you can't imagine seeing yourself any other way.
"But the LORD said to Samuel, 'Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.'"
-- 1 Samuel 16:7World system assigning value to physical metrics, enemy attacking identity with measurable 'proof' of unworthiness.
Every compliment she's received was tied to weight loss. Every comparison with friends centers on who's smaller. The world has reinforced this equation her entire life: smaller number = more valuable human.
Zacchaeus was SHORT - physically not measuring up, despised by society, considered worthless. Jesus didn't wait for him to grow taller or become acceptable; He looked UP at him and said 'I MUST stay at your house TODAY' - immediate worth assigned based on Jesus' desire, not Zacchaeus's measurements.
I REFUSE the lie that my worth is determined by numbers on a scale or letters on a tag. IT IS WRITTEN that the Lord does not see as man sees - man looks at outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the HEART. My value was established at Calvary where Jesus shed His blood for THIS body, exactly as it is. IT IS WRITTEN that I am bought with a PRICE, and that price was the precious blood of Christ - not subject to fluctuation based on my weight. I am Abraham's seed by FAITH, and the BARAK blessing declares me blessed in my BODY, coming in and going out. God's opinion of my worth is SETTLED and UNCHANGING, anchored in Christ's finished work.
Father sees the number on the scale and it doesn't move Him - but He saw you before you were born and RAN toward you with a plan of redemption. Your worth was settled when Jesus said 'It is FINISHED,' and no scale in the universe can recalculate what BLOOD purchased.
