"My sexual struggles and failures mean God can't use me or trust me."
How it sounds in your head: You're still dealing with this at your age. You should be past this by now. The thoughts, the temptations, the failures—they prove you're disqualified. Real men of God don't struggle like this in their sixties. You can't lead or minister while battling this. You're a hypocrite.
"Who shall bring a charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us."
-- Romans 8:33-34Source: Enemy using shame over normal male temptation combined with religious perfectionism to disqualify and silence.
The battle hasn't ended like you thought it would. Technology made temptation more accessible than ever. You've failed more times than you can count. How can God use someone who still struggles with this? Leaders are supposed to have victory, and you're still fighting.
Rahab was an active prostitute when she hid the spies—not a former prostitute who got clean first, but CURRENT. God used her IMMEDIATELY in her profession to save Israel's spies, then put her in the MESSIANIC LINE. Jesus' genealogy includes a prostitute to prove grace covers sexual sin completely.
I REFUSE the lie that sexual struggle disqualifies me from use or favor. IT IS WRITTEN that God justifies me and no one can bring a charge that sticks—not the enemy, not religion, not my own conscience. Christ INTERCEDES for me continually; my standing is not based on my battle but on His blood. IT IS WRITTEN there is NO condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. I am Abraham's seed under the BARAK blessing that protected and prospered men with moral failures throughout Scripture—Abraham the liar, Judah the adulterer, David the adulterer and murderer—ALL still blessed by covenant. I declare freedom, victory, and complete acceptance regardless of my battle's status.
The Father is running toward you not with condemnation but with the same robe He gave the prodigal who wasted everything on prostitutes—INSTANT restoration, FULL authority, COMPLETE acceptance. Your struggle doesn't change His pursuit; it intensifies His compassion and your dependency, which is exactly where breakthrough lives.
