"You add nothing to your family. They'd be better off financially and emotionally without you."
How it sounds in your head: You hear the money fights and know you're expensive—car insurance, college prep, food, phone. You see your parents' stress and know you're part of it. You're a drain, not a contribution. Maybe if you weren't here, they'd breathe easier.
"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers."
-- 3 John 1:2Poverty mindset and scarcity lie that measures worth by cost instead of by covenant identity.
You literally cost money to exist. The bills, the stress, the sacrifices your parents make—you're the reason. You take more than you give.
Joseph was a slave, a cost to Potiphar. But the Lord blessed Potiphar's house FOR JOSEPH'S SAKE—everything he owned prospered because Joseph was THERE. Joseph didn't cost Potiphar; he ENRICHED him instantly through the blessing.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm a financial burden. IT IS WRITTEN that I am BELOVED and designed to PROSPER in all things. I carry the BARAK blessing of Abraham by covenant—I don't drain, I ENRICH. IT IS WRITTEN that the Lord will command the BLESSING on my storehouses, that I will lend and not borrow. Like Joseph, my presence brings FAVOR to every house I enter. I am not a cost—I am a CARRIER of the blessing. The enemy fears the WEALTH I'll walk in.
The Father sees you the way Potiphar unknowingly experienced Joseph—as a BLESSING that enriches everything around you. You don't subtract from your family; you MULTIPLY favor by your very presence.
