"My contribution is so small it doesn't even matter"
How it sounds in your head: You pour yourself out every day and what difference does it make? You're just one more tired mom, one more woman doing invisible work. The world doesn't notice and neither does God. Your efforts disappear into the void like they never happened.
"For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth."
-- Zechariah 4:10Source: enemy's minimization combined with worldly metrics that measure significance by visibility, scale, and recognition rather than faithfulness
She sees influencers with platforms, leaders with impact, women with measurable results while her daily acts of love seem to evaporate. No one applauds when she shows up again, carries another burden, extends grace for the thousandth time.
Rich people threw large amounts into the temple treasury and no one remembered their names. One widow put in two small copper coins—all she had—and JESUS STOPPED EVERYTHING to memorialize her. Her tiny contribution became eternal Scripture, proving God measures significance by heart, not amount.
I REFUSE the lie that my contribution is too small to matter. IT IS WRITTEN: 'Who hath despised the day of small things?' Father doesn't measure by human metrics. The eyes of the LORD see my faithful acts, my hidden sacrifices, my repeated showing up. I am Abraham's seed, blessed with the BARAK covenant, and my faithfulness is SEED that will produce harvests I cannot yet see. IT IS WRITTEN: 'Your labor in the Lord is NOT in vain.' Every act done in love is recorded in heaven and will bear fruit.
Father is celebrating every small act you thought disappeared into nothing. He's been multiplying your faithfulness like loaves and fishes, and you're about to see the return on love you thought was wasted.
