"My existence is a drain on resources meant for others"
How it sounds in your head: Every resource you consume—money, food, time, energy, attention—is something someone else could use better. You're expensive to keep around. Your needs are too much. The resources spent on you would go further invested in someone more fruitful. You're a black hole of need that gives nothing back.
"Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows."
-- Matthew 10:31Source: poverty mindset combined with religious teaching about dying to self that confused sacrifice with self-erasure, scarcity lies that make existence competitive
She adds up the cost of her healthcare, therapy, the time her struggles require from others, and feels guilty for existing. In a world of scarcity thinking, her needs feel like theft from more deserving people.
This widow was down to her last meal, about to eat it and die. Elijah asked her to feed HIM first—a request that looked like draining her last resources. But when she gave from her lack, her jar of flour and jug of oil NEVER RAN OUT. She didn't drain resources—she became a CONDUIT for supernatural provision that sustained three people through a famine.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm a drain on resources. IT IS WRITTEN: 'I am of MORE VALUE than many sparrows,' and God feeds them without hesitation. There is no scarcity in my Father's house. I am not stealing from others—I am RECEIVING from an unlimited Source. IT IS WRITTEN: 'My God shall supply ALL my need according to His RICHES in glory.' I am Abraham's seed, and the BARAK blessing means provision comes TO me and THROUGH me. My existence isn't expensive—it's VALUABLE, and Father celebrates every resource invested in His daughter.
Father isn't calculating the cost of keeping you around. He's celebrating that you're here to receive from His unlimited supply. Like the father with the prodigal, He's not rationing—He's throwing a FEAST because you're home.
