"My emotions are too big and make people uncomfortable"
How it sounds in your head: When I get upset or excited, people tell me I'm being dramatic. I cry more than other guys and I hate it. I feel like I have to hide how I really feel or people will think I'm weak or weird.
"Jesus wept."
-- John 11:35World system toxicity teaching boys that emotions equal weakness, crushing the image of God that includes feeling deeply.
He's been told 'man up' or 'don't be so dramatic' when showing emotion. Other boys at school mock anyone who cries, creating intense pressure to suppress feelings.
Jeremiah cried so much the other prophets mocked him and called him weak. God called him 'the weeping prophet' not as an insult but as an IDENTITY, and used his tender heart to speak truth to nations.
I REFUSE the lie that my emotions make me weak or that I need to hide my feelings to be a man. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus Himself wept, and He is the definition of strength. My ability to feel deeply is not a flaw—it's the IMAGE OF GOD in me. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed in all I do, and that includes HOW I FEEL. God gave me emotions as tools, not burdens. I don't have to perform emotionless strength to earn respect. The BARAK blessing over my life means I carry divine favor even when I cry, even when I feel deeply, even when others don't understand. I am the head and not the tail. My emotions are MINE, given by God, and I won't apologize for them.
The Father sees every tear you've hidden and every feeling you've suppressed, and He's whispering 'You can feel with Me.' He's not waiting for you to toughen up—He made you tender on PURPOSE, for people and situations that need YOUR specific heart.
