"I need too much reassurance. I should be more confident and independent."
How it sounds in your head: I'm constantly asking if I did something wrong or if people are mad at me. I need my friends to tell me we're okay, my parents to tell me I'm doing fine, my teachers to confirm I'm on the right track. Other people just KNOW they're fine. Why can't I be like that?

Gideon asked God for a sign with a fleece, then asked for the OPPOSITE sign the next night because he needed more reassurance. God didn't rebuke him or call him faithless—He gave Gideon BOTH signs immediately, confirming His presence and promise without frustration.
I REFUSE the lie that my need for reassurance makes me weak or too dependent. IT IS WRITTEN that the Lord rejoices over me with singing and quiets me with His love. He speaks affirmation over me constantly, and I am DESIGNED to receive it. IT IS WRITTEN in Deuteronomy 28:6 that I am blessed when I come in and blessed when I go out—His favor covers me coming and going. I am Abraham's seed by the BARAK covenant, and the Father's voice speaks life, truth, and identity over me without limit. I receive His reassurance, affirmation, and love right now.
The Father isn't frustrated by your need for reassurance—He's singing over you, speaking identity and love over you constantly, never running out of words to affirm who you are. He doesn't want you independent from Him; He wants you DEPENDENT on His endless affirmation.
