"My disability means I'll never have a normal life, get married, or be desirable."
How it sounds in your head: You're starting to notice girls, but why would anyone choose you? They want strong, capable guys who can protect them and give them a good life. Your limitations make you undateable. You'll watch everyone else date, marry, and build families while you're alone.
"But the LORD said to Samuel, 'Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.'"
-- 1 Samuel 16:7Cultural lie that romance and marriage are rewards for physical perfection and capability.
Teen social dynamics brutally emphasize physical appearance and athletic ability; early dating patterns seem to confirm who's 'desirable.'
Considered undesirable ('weak eyes'), unloved, second choice. God SAW her, opened her womb, and made her the mother of Judah—the Messianic line came through the 'undesirable' one, not the beautiful Rachel.
I REFUSE the lie that my body determines my future. IT IS WRITTEN that man looks at outward appearance, but God looks at the heart—and my heart is made righteous in Christ. I am not undesirable; I am CHOSEN, set apart, holy, and dearly loved. The right person will be drawn to Christ IN me, not a perfect body. IT IS WRITTEN that God gives me the desires of my heart as I delight in Him. My disability doesn't disqualify me from love, marriage, or family—I am blessed in ALL areas of life by covenant. I am above only and not beneath.
The Father is already writing your love story, and He's better at it than you are. He's not waiting for you to 'qualify'—He's preparing someone who will see you the way He does: completely beloved, fully valuable, exactly right.
