"I'll never experience the abundant life Jesus promised because of this limitation"
How it sounds in your head: Abundant life is for whole people who can travel, adventure, work, provide, enjoy. You're living a diminished life now. This is survival, not abundance. That promise isn't for people in your condition.
"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."
-- John 10:10Enemy's redefinition of abundance as physical capability and experience, when Jesus defined it as LIFE in Him, regardless of circumstance.
Abundance sounds like fullness, and limitation feels like the opposite. When activities you loved are stripped away, it's hard to see how abundant life is possible from a chair or bed.
Chained, limited mobility, couldn't travel or preach freely, yet wrote from prison: 'I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content... I can do ALL things through Christ.' He experienced abundance IN chains, proving it's not circumstantial.
I REFUSE the lie that limitation excludes abundant life. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus came to give me LIFE, and life MORE ABUNDANTLY—not contingent on physical capability. Abundant life is CHRIST IN ME, the hope of glory. Paul experienced it in prison. John experienced it in exile. The thief on the cross experienced it dying. IT IS WRITTEN that I am Abraham's seed, heir according to PROMISE, and the blessing of Abraham is MINE—blessed in the city and field, coming in and going out. My abundance is covenant-based, not condition-based. I HAVE abundant life because I have HIM.
The Father's definition of abundant life isn't a bucket list of physical experiences—it's KNOWING Him, being filled with Him, experiencing His love. He ran to the prodigal for relationship, not adventure tourism. You have the LIFE; everything else is bonus.
