"My business failure disqualifies me from teaching or leading others."
How it sounds in your head: I used to mentor young men. I used to have answers. Now what do I have to offer? My track record says 'don't listen to this guy.' I need to step back and be quiet.
"And He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
-- 2 Corinthians 12:9Religious teaching that leadership requires spotless track record, using outcomes to determine qualification instead of covenant identity.
Every leadership opportunity feels like hypocrisy now. He can imagine younger men thinking 'why would I listen to someone who failed?' His voice feels disqualified by results.
Peter denied Jesus three times, swore he didn't know Him, failed spectacularly at his moment of testing. Weeks later, Jesus restored him and he preached at Pentecost—3,000 saved in one day. Failure didn't disqualify—it deepened his message.
I REFUSE the lie that failure disqualifies me from leading. IT IS WRITTEN that God's strength is made PERFECT in my weakness. I am Peter after denial—restored, emboldened, effective. My message isn't my success—it's HIS GRACE. IT IS WRITTEN that I am Abraham's seed, called to bless nations. The BARAK blessing doesn't require perfect track record. My Father uses broken men to display His glory. I receive my leadership mantle NOW.
Your Father never looked at your business failure and revoked your calling. He looked at it as the crack where His light shines brightest. Right now He's preparing men who need to hear from someone who's been broken and found Him faithful.
