"I should have been content with my corporate job instead of being greedy for more."

How it sounds in your head: I had a steady paycheck, benefits, a 401k. But I wanted MORE—wanted to be my own boss, build something, make a name. Now I have nothing. My greed destroyed everything. I should've been grateful for what I had.

Habakkuk 2:2-3

"Then the Lord answered me and said: 'Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.'"

-- Habakkuk 2:2-3
Enemy whispers: 'Your ambition was greed.' BUT IT IS WRITTEN: Habakkuk 2:2-3 - 'Write the VISION and make it plain... For the vision is yet for an appointed time... it will SURELY come, it will not tarry.' God GIVES vision. He COMMANDS us to write it and RUN with it. Ambition to build, create, and expand isn't greed—it's the IMAGE OF GOD in you. IT IS WRITTEN in John 10:10 that Jesus came to give you ABUNDANT life—not subsistence life, ABUNDANT. The business closed, but the vision didn't DIE. Vision has appointed times. This was a chapter, not the conclusion.
Quick Truth: LIE: Ambition = greed. TRUTH: God gives vision and calls us to RUN with it. (Hab 2:2-3)

Religion shaming ambition as greed, plus older-brother spirit condemning risk-taking as selfish pride.

Why this feels true:

You left security and now you're insecure. You wanted expansion and got contraction. The contrast between 'then' and 'now' feels like obvious proof that wanting more was sin.

1 Chronicles 4:10
Jabez

Jabez prayed, 'Oh, that You would BLESS me indeed, and ENLARGE my territory, that Your hand would be with me!' He asked for MORE—bigger territory, greater influence—and God GRANTED his request. Ambition wasn't rebuked; it was blessed.

Speak this out loud

I REFUSE the lie that my ambition was greed. IT IS WRITTEN that God gives VISION and commands me to RUN with it. Wanting to build and expand isn't sin—it's the image of God in me. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus came to give me ABUNDANT life, not just subsistence. Jabez asked God to ENLARGE his territory and God said YES. The BARAK blessing isn't a poverty spirit—it's blessed in the city, blessed in the field, blessed in my storehouses. I am the HEAD, not the tail. The business closed, but the vision lives. God isn't done. I am a branch abiding in the Vine, and fruit is COMING.

But God actually:

Your Father put vision in you—He LOVES when His sons dream big and build. The closed business doesn't mean the vision was sin; it means the TIMING is His, not yours. He's still writing your story, and this chapter isn't the last.
