"I can't trust myself to make decisions anymore after this failure."
How it sounds in your head: I thought this was God's will. I was so confident. I was wrong. How can I trust my judgment about anything now? Maybe I should just play it small and safe. Let others decide.
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."
-- Proverbs 3:5-6Enemy attack on her identity and confidence, making her DOUBT herself instead of standing in her position as seated with Christ in heavenly places.
The evidence seems clear—she made a choice, it went badly, so her discernment must be broken. Fear of repeating the failure paralyzes her from moving forward.
Denied Jesus three times, catastrophic failure of judgment and character, thought his ministry was over, went back to fishing. Jesus didn't shame him—He RESTORED him and gave him the church. Feed my sheep. Leadership restored instantly after failure.
I REFUSE the lie that I can't trust myself or my judgment because of this failure. IT IS WRITTEN in Proverbs 3:5-6 that if I trust the Lord and acknowledge Him, HE SHALL DIRECT MY PATHS—my confidence is in HIS DIRECTION, not my perfect track record. Peter denied Jesus three times and Jesus RESTORED him to leadership instantly. IT IS WRITTEN in Philippians 1:6 that He who began a good work in me will complete it. I am Abraham's seed, blessed with the BARAK that protected Jacob through deception and Joseph through prison. My Father doesn't disqualify prodigals—He hands them the RING OF AUTHORITY the moment they come home.
Your Father isn't questioning your judgment or sidelining you—He's the God who handed Peter the keys to the church right after Peter's worst failure, and He's preparing to trust YOU with more than you've asked for because you're HIS daughter.
