"Maybe God is teaching me something through this pain and I need to endure it."
How it sounds in your head: You're being refined. This is the fire that produces character. If you cry out for relief too much, you'll miss the lesson. Maybe you're being humbled because you were too proud when you were healthy.
"God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him."
-- Acts 10:38Religion's lie that God authors suffering to teach you, making Him look like the enemy who comes to steal, kill, and destroy.
Well-meaning Christians have told you 'God is teaching you something' and 'there's a purpose in this pain.' It sounds spiritual and makes the suffering feel less random, giving it meaning even though it contradicts Jesus' ministry.
Bent over for 18 years, couldn't straighten up. Jesus called her 'daughter of Abraham' whom Satan had bound. He didn't say 'finish your lesson'—He said 'You are LOOSED from your infirmity' and IMMEDIATELY she was made straight.
I REFUSE the lie that God is using pain to teach me. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus healed ALL who were oppressed by the devil—pain is the enemy's work, not the Father's curriculum. The same Father who ran to the prodigal doesn't torture His children to educate them. IT IS WRITTEN that every good and perfect gift comes from above—sickness is not from my Father. I am Abraham's seed, a daughter/son of Abraham whom Satan has no right to bind. I am the righteousness of God in Christ, and I declare freedom from this oppression NOW. The BARAK blessing covers me—blessed in my body, healed by His stripes.
Your Father isn't the professor of pain—He's the Healer. He's not withholding relief until you 'get it.' He's running toward you with healing hands, saying 'My Son already paid for this—you don't have to carry it one more second to prove anything.'
