"I must have unconfessed sin blocking my healing."
How it sounds in your head: If I was really right with God, this pain would be gone. There must be something I'm not seeing, some hidden sin keeping heaven's door closed. Other people get healed—what's wrong with ME spiritually?
"And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross."
-- Colossians 2:13-14Religious teaching that healing depends on your perfection, making you the problem instead of pointing to His finished work.
Years of sermons implied blessings require perfect obedience, and ongoing pain feels like evidence of spiritual failure. Introspection finds endless flaws to blame.
Invalid for 38 years, Jesus didn't ask about his sin or require confession. He simply said 'Rise, take up your bed and walk'—IMMEDIATELY he was made well, no spiritual inventory required.
I REFUSE the lie that my sin blocks God's healing. IT IS WRITTEN in Colossians 2:13-14 that He has forgiven me ALL trespasses—past, present, future. Jesus healed people who never confessed anything. IT IS WRITTEN in Romans 8:1 there is NO condemnation for those in Christ. The Abrahamic blessing protected LIARS like Abraham and Isaac, DECEIVERS like Jacob, MURDERERS like Jacob's sons—and it protects ME because I'm Abraham's seed. Healing flows from His NATURE, not my perfection. I am the righteousness of God IN CHRIST.
The Father isn't withholding healing until you find the secret sin—He's already running toward you with the robe and ring while you're still covered in pig pen filth. The prodigal didn't get clean to get the party; the party was WAITING because that's who the Father IS.
