"I'm too old to experience healing. God heals younger people, not someone at my stage."
How it sounds in your head: Why would God heal me now when I'm so close to death anyway? Healing is for people with decades left to serve Him. I've lived my life—it makes more sense for Him to focus on the young. My time is over.
"Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren. For with God nothing will be impossible."
-- Luke 1:36-37Religious teaching that God's resources are limited and healing must be rationed based on perceived future usefulness.
He sees younger people receive prayer and attention while he feels overlooked in his nursing home. His own prayers seem to bounce off the ceiling, and well-meaning visitors suggest he 'prepare to meet the Lord' instead of expecting healing.
Abraham was 100 years old, his body 'as good as dead,' yet he didn't weaken in faith. God gave him Isaac INSTANTLY when the promise came due—age was irrelevant to covenant.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm too old for God's healing power. IT IS WRITTEN that with God nothing is impossible, and Elizabeth conceived in old age under the old covenant—I have a BETTER one! My age doesn't limit the Father's willingness or ability. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus came to give ABUNDANT life, not rationed by years remaining. The BARAK blessing doesn't expire at 90—it protected liars, deceivers, and murderers regardless of age. I am a son at the Father's table, and He's throwing me a party RIGHT NOW, robe and ring and fattened calf!
The Father isn't checking your birth certificate before releasing healing—He's running toward you with the same urgency He had for the prodigal. Your age makes you MORE precious, not less worthy.
