"I need more sleep than I used to, which means my energy is declining permanently."
How it sounds in your head: I used to run on 5 hours and crush it all day. Now if I don't get 8 hours I'm useless. I'm only 23 and already need more rest than I used to. This is just the beginning of my body slowing down.
"He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength."
-- Isaiah 40:29Source: Enemy's lie that rest equals weakness and world's belief that energy naturally declines with age.
He's comparing himself to his high school self who ran on adrenaline and poor sleep, and now his body actually needs rest. Culture glorifies hustle and sleep deprivation, making rest feel like failure.
Elijah was so exhausted after confronting Baal's prophets that he wanted to die. God's solution? Sleep and food—TWICE. Then Elijah walked 40 days and nights in the strength of that rest, performing one of the greatest prophetic journeys in Scripture.
I REFUSE the lie that needing rest means I'm declining. IT IS WRITTEN that God gives power to the weak and increases strength. Rest is not weakness—it's wisdom. My energy comes from CONNECTION to the Source, not from my age. The BARAK blessing means I am blessed in my rest and in my activity. IT IS WRITTEN: He makes me lie down in green pastures, He restores my soul. I receive supernatural energy, vitality, and rest that refreshes completely. My strength is renewed like the eagle's.
The Father isn't disappointed that you need rest—He DESIGNED rest on the seventh day of creation. He's not a taskmaster demanding endless hustle; He's a Father inviting you to abide in Him, where strength flows naturally without striving.
