"I'm too old to receive healing; God's miracles are for younger people with more life ahead."
How it sounds in your head: Why would God heal me now when I'm almost done anyway? He'd rather use His power on someone with decades left to serve Him. I had my chance when I was younger; now I should just manage symptoms until I die.
"But Jehoiada grew old and was full of days, and he died; he was one hundred and thirty years old when he died."
-- 2 Chronicles 24:15Religion teaching that God's resources are limited and He calculates ROI on miracles based on remaining lifespan.
It feels wasteful to expect a miracle when death is approaching naturally anyway. Younger people seem like better investments of divine power, and accepting illness feels more humble than demanding healing at this age.
After 12 years of suffering and spending everything on doctors who made her worse, she touched Jesus and was IMMEDIATELY healed. She didn't earn it through years of faithfulness—she received it in one desperate moment of connection.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm too old for healing. IT IS WRITTEN that God healed Sarah at 90, strengthened Abraham at 100, and kept Moses strong at 120. My age doesn't disqualify me—I am under the BARAK blessing, the same covenant that protected Abraham even when he lied. Christ redeemed me from the curse of sickness. IT IS WRITTEN in 3 John 1:2 that He wishes above all things that I prosper and be in health. My remaining years are VALUABLE to the Father, and He is healing me NOW.
The Father isn't calculating how many years you have left—He's celebrating that you're HIS daughter RIGHT NOW. Like the prodigal's father who threw a party for a son who'd wasted everything, He's throwing His resources at you with extravagant, illogical love.
