"If I take pain medication, I'm not trusting God to heal my body."
How it sounds in your head: The worship leader talked about throwing away her migraine meds after God healed her. My cramps are so bad I can't function, but if I take Advil, does that mean I don't believe God can heal me? Maybe my pain is supposed to teach me something.
"So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and he set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him."

She hears testimonies of people who got healed and stopped needing medicine. Her pain feels like a spiritual test she's failing by reaching for the bottle.
The beaten man was half-dead on the road. The Good Samaritan didn't just pray—he immediately poured on oil and wine (medicine), bandaged him, and got him professional care at the inn.
I REFUSE the lie that pain medication blocks God's healing. IT IS WRITTEN that the Good Samaritan used medicine and Jesus praised him as the example. My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and caring for it with pain relief is WISDOM, not doubt. IT IS WRITTEN that by His stripes I am healed, and I can believe that while also treating pain. I am blessed in my body, the BARAK covers me completely, and I receive both healing AND relief without confusion. God is not offended by Advil.
Your Father doesn't want you writhing in pain to prove your faith—He's the one who created the plants that make your medicine. He's running toward you with healing in one hand and relief in the other, never making you choose between trusting Him and treating pain.
