"I should wait for God to heal me before starting treatment."
How it sounds in your head: The doctor wants to start medication, but you feel like you should give God a chance first. Maybe you need to fast and pray for a few weeks. What if you start treatment the day before God was going to heal you, and you miss your miracle by being impatient?
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."
-- Proverbs 3:5-6Religion teaching that seeking help is lack of patience with God, making medical care a sign of giving up on miracles.
Faith stories often involve waiting for breakthrough. Starting treatment feels like telling God His time is up, like you're taking matters into your own hands instead of trusting His timing.
Jesus healed a blind man in TWO STAGES - first partial sight, then full sight. The man didn't wait between stages; Jesus completed the process immediately. Even Jesus' healing sometimes involved steps, not waiting for one perfect moment.
I REFUSE the lie that treatment delays miracles. IT IS WRITTEN that God directs my paths, and He can direct me TO medical help as easily as to instant healing. The blind man received healing in stages without waiting. I am blessed coming in and going out - blessed going INTO the doctor's office. IT IS WRITTEN that my Father gives good gifts generously. I trust His timing AND His methods, receiving help as His provision right now, not as giving up on Him.
Your Father is running toward you saying 'I already ANSWERED your prayer - I sent the doctor, the treatment, the option! Don't wait for Me; I'm already HERE.' He's not testing your patience; He's offering relief today.
