"Faithful Christians heal instantly; needing ongoing treatment means something's wrong with me."
How it sounds in your head: The New Testament shows Jesus healing everyone immediately. Modern testimonies celebrate instant miracles. My chronic condition requiring daily medication must mean I'm missing something—unforgiveness, hidden sin, not enough faith. Why am I different?
"And he looked up and said, 'I see men like trees, walking.' Then He put His hands on him again and made him look up. And he said, 'I see all things clearly.'"
-- Mark 8:24-25Religion cherry-picked instant healings while ignoring biblical examples of progressive restoration and medical management.
Every healing testimony you hear emphasizes the sudden, dramatic moment. Your ongoing medical management feels like you're stuck in the waiting room while everyone else got called back immediately. After decades of faith, still needing treatment feels like failure.
Jesus laid hands on a blind man who saw partially—people looked like trees walking. Instead of condemning the man's faith, Jesus touched him AGAIN, and then he saw clearly. Progressive healing, two-stage miracle, zero condemnation for the process.
I REFUSE the lie that progressive healing means defective faith. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus healed a blind man in TWO stages—partial, then complete. Naaman dipped seven times before manifestation. God's methods are diverse; His love is constant. I am Abraham's seed—the BARAK blessing is mine by COVENANT, not by healing speed. IT IS WRITTEN that there is NO condemnation for those in Christ. My ongoing treatment is not failure; it's God sustaining me toward complete restoration. Some healed instantly, Timothy managed chronically—both were beloved. I am not broken—I am being PERFECTED in His timing and method.
Your Father sees your daily medication routine and says, 'I'm with you in this, every single morning, sustaining you, loving you, working all things together for good.' He's not disappointed—He's present.
