"I need to be in a better spiritual state before I can fight effectively."
How it sounds in your head: I haven't been reading my Bible consistently. My prayer life is a mess. I snapped at someone yesterday. How can I take authority when I'm struggling myself? I need to get my life together first before I can engage the enemy with any credibility.
"For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him."
-- 2 Corinthians 5:21Source: Religion made spiritual warfare about YOUR righteousness instead of HIS, creating performance pressure that silences you.
You feel like a hypocrite commanding demons when you couldn't even control your temper this morning. Your inconsistency makes you doubt your authority. Surely God only backs people who have it together.
Peter denied Jesus THREE TIMES with cursing. Days later, Jesus didn't make him earn his way back—He restored him with breakfast and a conversation. Peter went from denier to Pentecost preacher with 3,000 saved. NO waiting period.
I REFUSE the lie that I need to be in a better state to fight. IT IS WRITTEN that I have BECOME the righteousness of God in Christ—that's my position, not my performance. My authority is not based on how consistent I've been; it's based on the NAME I carry. IT IS WRITTEN that the weapons of our warfare are mighty through GOD, not through me. The BARAK protected Abraham when he was LYING to kings—the blessing wasn't paused until he got it together. I fight FROM righteousness that was GIVEN, not earned. My mess doesn't disqualify me; His blood does QUALIFY me. I take authority NOW.
The Father isn't waiting for you to have a perfect week before He backs your words. He's standing WITH you in the middle of your mess, saying 'Speak anyway—my power is perfected in your weakness.'
