"I need to be in a higher spiritual state to exercise authority over darkness."
How it sounds in your head: I should probably fast first. I should get more prayer time in. I should worship longer, read more, feel more 'in the Spirit.' The people who cast out demons are the ones who spend hours in prayer. I can barely get 10 minutes. I'm not spiritual enough for this level of warfare.
"And raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus."
-- Ephesians 2:6Works-based religion creates hierarchical spirituality where authority requires achieving elevated states instead of resting in identity.
She sees 'super Christians' operating in power and assumes they've achieved something she hasn't. Her inconsistent quiet times feel disqualifying. The enemy accuses her of not being 'spiritual enough' to access authority.
She was ceremonially unclean, hadn't fasted or prepared, was weak from 12 years of bleeding, yet she simply reached out and touched Jesus' garment. INSTANTLY power flowed and she was healed. Her desperate touch from a low state accessed the same power as anyone else.
I REFUSE the lie that I need to achieve a higher spiritual state to access my authority. IT IS WRITTEN: God has ALREADY seated me in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. My position is not earned by prayer hours or fasting days—it's GIVEN by grace. I am hidden with Christ in God, and the enemy doesn't see my inconsistent quiet times; he sees JESUS in me. My authority flows from WHO I am in Christ, not HOW I feel today. IT IS WRITTEN: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me—not 'through Christ after I've prepared enough.' The BARAK blessing was never based on Abraham's spiritual state—it protected him when he LIED. I operate from REST, not religious achievement.
The Father isn't waiting for you to fast for three days before He releases power—He's already placed you in heavenly places with full access NOW. He's running toward you saying 'You don't climb UP to authority; you're already seated WITH Me in the highest place.'
