"I exhaust people emotionally. My needs and struggles drain everyone around me."
How it sounds in your head: You see your wife's face when you try to talk about what you're carrying—she's already exhausted. Your friends stopped asking how you're really doing. You've become the 'project' person everyone avoids. Your emotional load is too heavy for anyone to bear.
"Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable."
-- Isaiah 40:28Enemy accusation + religious lie that Jesus gets tired of carrying your burdens.
People have explicitly said you're 'a lot to handle.' Your marriage feels like she's managing you instead of enjoying you. You stopped sharing honestly because you watched people distance themselves when you were vulnerable.
Jacob wrestled with God ALL NIGHT—literally exhausting, physically draining, emotionally intense. God didn't push him away or say 'you're too much.' Instead, God BLESSED him and gave him a new identity as Israel.
I REFUSE the lie that I exhaust God or that my struggles are too much for Him. IT IS WRITTEN that the everlasting God neither faints nor is weary—His capacity for me is INFINITE. My emotional needs do not drain the Father; they DELIGHT Him because He created me to need Him. IT IS WRITTEN that He invites the heavy-laden to come, not the ones who have it all together. I am covered by the BARAK blessing—the same covenant that sustained Jacob through wrestling, Elijah through depression, and David through years of running. The Father is not tired of me; He is RUNNING toward me with fresh grace every morning.
The Father doesn't have compassion fatigue with you. While you were still smelling like the pig pen of emotional struggle, He was RUNNING—not walking—toward you with the robe, the ring, and the party already planned.
