"I abandoned my faith for years. God won't give me back what I lost in the wilderness."
How it sounds in your head: I knew better and walked away anyway. I wasted decades running from God. Other people stayed faithful and got the blessings I missed. I can come back, but I can't have the intimacy or anointing of those who never left.
"I will give her her vineyards from there, and the Valley of Achor as a door of hope; she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, as in the day when she came up from the land of Egypt."
-- Hosea 2:15Enemy + Religion: Prodigal's BROTHER said 'He wasted your property,' but FATHER said 'ALL I HAVE is yours.'
You see people who never left the faith walking in authority you don't feel you deserve. Your wilderness years feel like lost ground you can never recover. Church culture often treats returnees as second-class.
Denied Jesus THREE TIMES at His greatest hour of need, ran away, went back to fishing in shame. Jesus restored him on the beach with breakfast, reinstated him THREE TIMES, and gave him the keys to launch the entire Church - no probation period, full authority restored.
I REFUSE the lie that my wilderness years cost me God's best. IT IS WRITTEN that God will give me vineyards FROM the wilderness and my Valley of Achor becomes a DOOR OF HOPE. I shall sing as in the days of my YOUTH. Peter denied Jesus three times and was FULLY RESTORED with no probation period - he launched the Church. IT IS WRITTEN that God restores the YEARS the locust ate - not 'helps me cope with loss' but RESTORES. I am BARAK blessed - the blessing doesn't stop during my rebellion. Jacob deceived everyone and was STILL blessed. I am not second-class. I am FULLY RESTORED, FULLY ANOINTED, FULLY HIS. My comeback is GREATER than my setback.
The Father isn't making you sit in the back after your wilderness years. He's throwing you a WELCOME HOME party and handing you the RING of authority while religion says you should prove yourself first. You're IMMEDIATELY restored.
