"I come from a poor family so I'll always be poor and struggle financially"
How it sounds in your head: We can't afford the stuff other kids have. I hear my parents fight about money. We're on food stamps. Rich kids look down on me. Poor is just who we are. I'll probably end up the same way.
"And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day."
-- Deuteronomy 8:18Generational poverty lie partnering with world's definition of wealth as achievement rather than covenant inheritance
Daily evidence of financial lack combined with peer comparison creates sense of permanent class status. Pre-teen brain sees parents' struggle and assumes it's genetic destiny rather than breakable pattern.
A widow down to her LAST MEAL—one handful of flour, a little oil, preparing to eat and DIE with her son. Elijah showed up and said 'Make me a cake FIRST.' She obeyed, and the flour and oil NEVER RAN OUT for years. From final meal to ENDLESS SUPPLY in one act of faith—poverty broken INSTANTLY, not gradually.
I REFUSE the lie that my family's current financial situation determines my destiny. IT IS WRITTEN in Deuteronomy 8:18 that GOD gives me POWER to get WEALTH to establish His COVENANT. Wealth is COVENANT PROMISE, not genetic inheritance. I am Abraham's seed, heir to the BARAK that made shepherds wealthy and fugitives into princes. IT IS WRITTEN in Galatians 3:13-14 that Christ REDEEMED me from the curse so the BLESSING of Abraham might come upon me—the blessing of being LENDER not borrower, ABOVE not beneath. The widow's final meal became ENDLESS SUPPLY in one moment. Generational poverty is BROKEN. I am under the BARAK of covenant, not the curse of circumstances.
The Father isn't waiting for your family to climb out of poverty—He's running toward you with the RING of authority to command wealth and the ROBE of sonship that makes you HEIR to all His resources. He turned final meals into endless supply INSTANTLY.
