"Healing was just to validate the gospel initially; we have the Bible now."
How it sounds in your head: Miracles were signs to prove Jesus was real and authenticate Scripture. Now that we have the complete Bible, we don't need miracles anymore. The Word is enough. Expecting signs is immature faith that needs proof.
"For I am the LORD, I do not change; therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob."
-- Malachi 3:6Source: Cessationist theology teaching that supernatural confirmation ended when the canon of Scripture closed.
She's heard respected teachers explain that signs and wonders were for the foundation of the church, and mature faith believes without seeing. Requiring miracles feels like Thomas doubting instead of just trusting the written Word.
Paralyzed and bedridden for eight years, not a major figure or apostle—just a believer in Lydda. Peter simply said, 'Jesus the Christ heals you. Arise.' IMMEDIATELY Aeneas arose, completely healed after nearly a decade of paralysis.
I REFUSE the lie that healing was only to validate Scripture. IT IS WRITTEN: Malachi 3:6 - The LORD does not change. God heals because He IS healer, not because He's proving something. His nature didn't change when the Bible was compiled. I am under the BARAK blessing of Abraham, which includes health and wholeness. IT IS WRITTEN: Psalm 103:3 - He forgives all my iniquities and heals ALL my diseases. Present tense. Ongoing. Unchanging. I receive supernatural healing because God is unchanging.
Your Father didn't retire His healing hand when the last Bible was printed—He's the same healer today who touched lepers and opened blind eyes. While theology professors debate His methods, He's ready to heal your body the way He healed Aeneas after 8 years of paralysis: immediately and completely.
