"Only super spiritual people with great faith get miracles. Your faith isn't strong enough."
How it sounds in your head: You see testimonies of other people getting healed and assume they must pray more than you, read their Bible more, or have some special relationship with God you haven't achieved. When you pray and nothing happens, you blame your weak faith—if you just believed harder or prayed longer, maybe God would show up. You feel disqualified before you even start.
"When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, 'Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!' Then Jesus said to the centurion, 'Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.' And his servant was healed that same hour."
-- Matthew 8:10-13Source: Performance-based religion that makes miracles the reward for spiritual achievement instead of the fruit of connection to Jesus.
Adults talk about 'faith like a mustard seed' but then imply you need mountain-sized faith to actually see results. You watch the 'super Christians' at church get prayer and testimonies while you feel invisible and unqualified—like there's a spiritual hierarchy and you're at the bottom.
This woman was a Greek, a Gentile, outside the covenant entirely—not Jewish, not 'qualified,' not part of God's chosen people. She begged Jesus for her demon-possessed daughter, He initially resisted, she argued back with bold faith, and Jesus said 'For this saying go your way; the demon has gone'—INSTANT deliverance for an 'outsider' because of raw, desperate trust.
I REFUSE the lie that miracles require super-spirituality. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus marveled at a PAGAN centurion's faith and healed his servant that same hour—no Bible degree, no perfect prayer life, just simple belief. I don't need to qualify through spiritual performance; I'm already qualified through Jesus' blood. I am blessed with the Abraham blessing—the barak that flowed to Abraham when he LIED, to Jacob when he DECEIVED, to Judah when he sinned—covenant, not conduct. IT IS WRITTEN in John 15:5 that I'm a branch in the vine—branches don't work to produce fruit, they just stay connected. My job is abiding, not achieving, and miracles flow from HIS nature, not my maturity.
Your Father isn't measuring your spiritual résumé before He moves—He's looking at your connection to Jesus, and if you're in Christ, you're as qualified as the apostle Paul. Right now, while you're feeling 'not spiritual enough,' He's already releasing breakthrough because He's the Vine and you're the branch, and fruit comes from HIS life, not your effort.
