"Healing isn't for me—I'm the exception to God's promises."
How it sounds in your head: You've seen others healed, read the testimonies, watched the miracles. But you're still sick. Maybe you're the one God says no to. Maybe your faith isn't strong enough. Maybe there's hidden sin. Maybe you're the thorn in the flesh case, the exception that proves the rule.
"Then Peter opened his mouth and said: 'In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality.'"
-- Acts 10:34Source: Religious teaching that makes healing conditional on hidden variables you can never verify, creating exception theology.
You've prayed. You've believed. You've done the altar calls. You're STILL sick. Others got healed—you didn't. The only explanation that makes sense is you're somehow disqualified, the exception, the one God chose to say no to for mysterious reasons.
Leprous Syrian commander—not even an Israelite, foreign enemy actually—prideful, angry, almost refused God's method. Dipped seven times, flesh became like a CHILD'S instantly. God healed the foreigner with an attitude problem. You think you're the exception?
I REFUSE the lie that I'm the exception to God's promises. IT IS WRITTEN that God shows NO partiality—if Jesus healed then, He heals now, and I am IN CHRIST with the same access. The BARAK blessing didn't make exceptions for Abraham when he LIED TWICE—it protected him anyway because covenant isn't about performance. IT IS WRITTEN in Hebrews 13:8 that Jesus Christ is the SAME yesterday, today, and forever. Same Jesus, same power, same YES. I am not the exception—I am the RULE of grace. Healing is mine because HE is mine, and nothing I've done or not done changes His nature.
The Father has no exception list—only a 'whosoever will' list. While you were convinced you're disqualified, He was running toward you with the same robe He gave the son who blew everything on prostitutes. The party is for you. The healing is for you. You're not the exception—you're the beloved.
