"God's priority is my character growth through limitation, not my comfort."
How it sounds in your head: God is using these tight finances to teach me something, build my faith, refine my character. If He wanted me comfortable, He would provide more. This lack must be His tool for growth.
"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning."
-- James 1:17Religious teaching that God authors hardship as curriculum and lack as lesson plan.
Decades of sermons have framed every difficulty as God's teaching moment, making you afraid that receiving abundance would somehow stunt your spiritual growth or displease Him.
God gave Israel power to get wealth to ESTABLISH His covenant, not to build character through poverty. He led them to a land of abundance—milk, honey, silver, gold—because covenant provision, not limitation, was always the plan.
I REFUSE the lie that God uses lack to teach me. IT IS WRITTEN that every good and perfect gift comes from the Father of LIGHTS—no shadow, no withholding. Lack is the curse; abundance is the blessing. Christ redeemed me FROM the curse, not INTO it for lessons. IT IS WRITTEN He gives me power to get wealth to establish covenant, not character through limitation. My growth comes from knowing His GOODNESS, not surviving scarcity. I receive abundance because that's His nature, and my comfort glorifies Him!
The Father isn't withholding abundance to make you a better person through financial struggle. He's the father who killed the fattened calf while the son was still dirty, who gave the ring before the reformation, who threw a party before the character improvement, because His gifts come from His nature, not your maturity, and He's been good all along.
