"I should feel bad about my success when others are struggling financially."
How it sounds in your head: I finally got the promotion, but my buddy lost his job last month. How do I celebrate when he's struggling? Maybe I should downplay my wins. It feels wrong to have plenty when people around me are barely making it.
"And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day."
-- Deuteronomy 8:18Source: World's scarcity mindset that says there's only so much to go around, making every win feel like someone else's loss.
You see friends stressed about bills while you just bought a new truck. The comparison creates false guilt, as if your blessing somehow caused their lack.
Isaac sowed in famine and reaped a hundredfold the same year. He became so wealthy that the Philistines envied him—but his prosperity didn't cause their poverty; it revealed covenant blessing even in drought.
I REFUSE the lie that my success is selfish when others struggle. IT IS WRITTEN in Deuteronomy 8:18 that GOD gives me power to get wealth to establish His covenant. My prosperity doesn't diminish anyone else's portion—there's no scarcity in the Kingdom. IT IS WRITTEN in Philippians 4:19 that my God supplies ALL my need according to His riches in glory. I am blessed to BE a blessing, a conduit not a clog. The BARAK on my life protects me, provides for me, and positions me to be generous. I celebrate every win as proof of a good Father who runs toward me with abundance.
The Father isn't frowning at your success—He's throwing a party. He's not interested in equal distribution of poverty; He wants EVERYONE blessed, starting with you. Your overflow isn't offensive; it's the overflow that lets you pull others up.
