"God is disappointed I still struggle with the same sins"
How it sounds in your head: I confessed this last month, last year, a hundred times. Why can't I get victory? God must be so tired of hearing about the same struggles over and over.
"Who is a God like You, Pardoning iniquity And passing over the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He does not retain His anger forever, Because He delights in mercy. He will again have compassion on us, And will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins Into the depths of the sea."

You genuinely want to change and keep falling into the same patterns. Every repeat feels like evidence you're not really trying or God's not really helping.
Jonah blatantly disobeyed God, ran the opposite direction, caused a storm, got thrown overboard, and sat in a fish's belly pouting. God could have found another prophet. Instead, He gave Jonah a SECOND chance, and when Jonah obeyed, God used him to save an entire city.
I REFUSE the lie that God is disappointed in my repeated struggles. IT IS WRITTEN that He DELIGHTS in mercy and casts my sins into the depths of the sea - not once, but AGAIN and AGAIN. Victory is not the prerequisite for His love; His love is the source of my victory. IT IS WRITTEN in Romans 8:1 that there is NO CONDEMNATION for those in Christ Jesus. The BARAK blessing covered ABRAHAM who lied TWICE about Sarah - if the blessing didn't leave him, it won't leave me. I am not defined by my struggles; I am defined by His grace.
The Father isn't crossing His arms waiting for you to get it together - He's holding you while you grow. Like the prodigal's father who threw the party BEFORE any behavior change, He celebrates you IN the struggle, not after it.
