"God expected me to have stronger faith by now—I still doubt too much."
How it sounds in your head: After all these years walking with God, I still question, still wonder if He's really listening. My faith should be unshakable by now. Instead, I'm still wrestling with doubts I thought I'd outgrow.
"Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, 'Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!'"
-- Mark 9:24Source: Religion's lie that mature faith eliminates questions and doubt proves weak relationship with God.
She compares her ongoing questions to others' confident testimonies and feels immature. The enemy uses honest doubt as evidence of stunted spiritual growth.
Thomas refused to believe Jesus rose unless he touched the wounds. Jesus didn't reject him—He showed up, invited Thomas to touch, and Thomas declared 'My Lord and my God!' Doubt didn't disqualify relationship; it deepened it.
I REFUSE the lie that my doubts disappoint God. IT IS WRITTEN that the father who cried 'help my unbelief' received his miracle. Jesus didn't require perfect certainty—He honored mixed faith. IT IS WRITTEN that Thomas doubted and Jesus INVITED his questions. I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, and my honest questions are welcomed at His table. Faith isn't the absence of doubt—it's showing up anyway.
The Father doesn't need your certainty to prove His faithfulness. He welcomes every question, every wrestling match, every middle-of-the-night 'Are You really there?'—because relationship deepens through honest conversation, not pretended confidence.
