"You're too tired and worn out to do what you used to do."
How it sounds in your head: You used to pull all-nighters, travel constantly, juggle multiple projects. Now you need naps. Energy crashes at 3pm. You can't keep the pace you once did. You're just... tired. Bone tired. Accept the new normal of lower capacity.
"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
-- Matthew 11:28-30Curse of weariness and burden from the Fall, plus religion's acceptance of exhaustion as 'normal' rather than resisting it.
You ARE more tired than you used to be. Hormones shift, sleep gets worse, recovery is slower. Friends your age talk about chronic fatigue. Your spouse sees you falling asleep on the couch. The exhaustion is real.
Elijah, after the exhausting confrontation with 450 prophets of Baal and ending a 3-year drought, supernaturally outran King Ahab's chariot for 20+ miles to Jezreel. God gave power to the weak at the point of depletion.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm too worn out. IT IS WRITTEN: 'Come to Me... and I will give you REST... My yoke is easy and My burden is light.' I'm not accepting exhaustion as normal when Jesus promises REST as gift. IT IS WRITTEN: 'He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength.' My tiredness isn't the final word—God's POWER is. Elijah outran chariots when depleted. The BARAK blessing includes REST and STRENGTH. I am Abraham's seed, and the blessing makes me the head, not the tail—full of vitality, not dragging in defeat. I receive supernatural energy as GIFT.
The Father isn't watching you run on fumes—He's ready to GIVE you rest and supernatural strength the moment you stop striving and receive it as pure GIFT. He's running toward you not with sympathy but with POWER to the weak.
