"It's too late to reinvent myself. I'm stuck with the life I built."
How it sounds in your head: You're 57. You can't just blow up your life and start over. You have responsibilities, a mortgage, aging parents. Reinvention is for people in their twenties, not women approaching retirement.
"Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert."
-- Isaiah 43:18-19World's voice imposing practical limitations and societal expectations on God's supernatural intervention.
Your life has infrastructure—financial obligations, relational patterns, career momentum. Dismantling and rebuilding feels irresponsible at this stage, even if your current life feels like a cage.
Abraham was 75, settled in Haran with established life and wealth, when God said 'LEAVE everything you know and go to a land I'll show you later.' He didn't wait until it was convenient—he WENT, and became the father of nations.
I REFUSE the lie that it's too late to reinvent. IT IS WRITTEN that God does a NEW thing and it springs forth NOW—not when I'm younger or circumstances are perfect. Abraham left everything at 75. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed coming in and going out, and the BARAK blessing makes roads in my wilderness. I am not stuck; I am POSITIONED. God is making rivers in my desert. My latter days are GREATER than my former, and NEW is springing forth NOW.
The Father isn't waiting for you to figure it out—He's already MAKING the road in your wilderness. Like the Prodigal, the moment you turn toward home, He's RUNNING toward you with provision you didn't earn and couldn't orchestrate.
