"You need strong faith to be healed—your faith probably isn't enough."
How it sounds in your head: When you pray for healing and nothing happens, you immediately assume it's because your faith is weak. You've heard sermons about 'great faith' and you know yours doesn't feel great. Maybe if you believed harder, prayed longer, doubted less—then you'd qualify for healing.
"And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you."
-- Matthew 17:20Source: Religion making healing about human performance instead of God's nature.
Jesus did say things like 'according to your faith' and praised the centurion's 'great faith,' so it seems logical that MORE faith equals MORE healing. Your lack of results feels like proof your faith is deficient.
Malchus came to ARREST Jesus—he had ZERO faith, was part of the enemy mob. Peter cut off his ear in the garden, and Jesus HEALED him instantly even though the man was there to imprison Him.
I REFUSE the lie that my faith must be strong enough. IT IS WRITTEN that mustard seed faith moves mountains—I have at least that much, therefore NOTHING is impossible. Healing isn't a reward for perfect faith—it's a gift from a good Father. IT IS WRITTEN in Ephesians 2:8 that even faith itself is a GIFT, not my work. Jesus healed Malchus who came to arrest Him—if He healed an ENEMY with zero faith, He'll heal ME, His child. I am in Christ, where the blessing of Abraham flows regardless of my feelings. The BARAK protected Jacob the deceiver—my imperfect faith doesn't cancel covenant.
Your Father isn't measuring your faith with a scale, checking if you hit the minimum threshold. While you're worried your faith is too small, He's already reaching out His hand—He healed people who didn't even ask, who had NO faith, because healing flows from HIS nature, not your performance.
