"When I get older, I'll have to work really hard and sacrifice everything to maybe have enough."
How it sounds in your head: I hear adults say 'life is hard' and 'you have to work for everything you get.' It sounds exhausting and scary. Is that really what being grown up means?
"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
-- Matthew 11:28-30Source: Curse of the fall (toil and sweat) presented as permanent reality, ignoring Christ's redemption and supernatural provision available through grace.
Every adult around her seems exhausted and stressed about money, creating a picture of adulthood as unending labor with little reward. The world's system of hard work equals provision is all she sees modeled.
During a severe famine when everyone else was starving, Isaac planted crops and reaped a HUNDREDFOLD harvest the same year. He became so wealthy the Philistines envied him—supernatural blessing defied natural circumstances, no extra toil required.
I REFUSE the lie that my future is exhausting labor just to survive. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus gives me REST and His yoke is EASY! I'm not under the curse of sweat and toil—Christ redeemed me from that. The BARAK blessing means I'm blessed in my WORK—whatever I put my hand to PROSPERS. IT IS WRITTEN in Deuteronomy 28:12 that the Lord will COMMAND blessing on all the work of my hand. I'll be like Isaac—reaping hundredfold in famine. My provision flows from GRACE, not grinding. My burden is LIGHT.
Your Father isn't preparing you for a life of exhausting labor—He's inviting you into a yoke that's EASY. You're not destined to strive; you're called to ABIDE. He's the God who makes one day's work produce hundredfold returns when you're connected to Him.
