"We should just give up and accept this isn't God's plan for us"
How it sounds in your head: Maybe you're fighting against God's will by continuing to hope for children. Perhaps He has 'other plans' and you need to surrender to childlessness as His perfect will. Acceptance might be the spiritual thing to do.
"Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart"
-- Luke 18:1Religious fatalism disguised as surrender, making powerlessness look like spiritual maturity.
Years of unanswered prayer make resignation feel like wisdom—calling defeat 'God's plan' provides theological cover for giving up. Surrendering the dream feels safer than continuing to hope and hurt.
Widow kept coming to an unjust judge who didn't care about her—she refused to accept 'no' and wore him down until he granted justice. Jesus said if an evil judge responds to persistence, how much MORE will your Father respond to continued asking.
I REFUSE the lie that giving up is spiritual surrender. IT IS WRITTEN to ALWAYS pray and NOT LOSE HEART—persistence is commanded, not discouraged. God BLESSED mankind to be FRUITFUL—that's not 'if it's My will,' that's COVENANT PROMISE. I reject religious fatalism that calls defeat 'God's plan.' IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus came to give ABUNDANT LIFE—barrenness isn't His abundant plan. I will continue asking, seeking, knocking because that's what FAITH does. I declare breakthrough is coming, hope is justified, and persistence will be rewarded because my Father is GOOD.
The Father isn't telling you to give up—He's cheering your persistence like Jesus cheered the widow's refusal to accept no. He's not waiting for you to surrender the dream; He's preparing to fulfill it beyond what you've imagined.
