"Using fertility medication shows I don't believe God opens wombs"
How it sounds in your head: I see testimonies of women who prayed and conceived miraculously. Now I'm doing IVF and it feels like I took matters into my own hands instead of waiting on God. Did I jump ahead of His timing?
"Then God remembered Rachel, and God listened to her and opened her womb."
-- Genesis 30:22Religion created false opposition between medical intervention and God's sovereignty over conception
She's 35, watching her fertility window narrow, while church culture celebrates 'surprise' babies as more spiritual than assisted reproduction. Every injection feels like admitting God said no.
Rachel desperately sought mandrakes (fertility aids) while begging God to open her womb. God didn't rebuke her for using natural methods—He eventually gave her Joseph and Benjamin, and her son became the deliverer of nations.
I REFUSE the lie that fertility treatment opposes faith. IT IS WRITTEN that Rachel used natural fertility aids while crying out to God, and He gave her sons who changed history. My IVF is not evidence of unbelief—it's evidence of a good Father providing medical wisdom to fulfill His promise that I would be fruitful. IT IS WRITTEN that God works all things together, including reproductive technology. I am not less spiritual for seeking medical help to conceive. The BARAK blessing over Abraham included descendants as numerous as stars, and God used both miraculous conception (Isaac) and natural means (twelve sons from four women) to fulfill that promise.
Father sees your fertility struggle and isn't withholding because you're using medicine—He's already provided the breakthrough through medical science. Whether your baby comes from a burning-bush moment or a petri dish, that child is equally His gift, equally miraculous, equally loved.
