You remember specific sins and the timing seems connected. Generational patterns (grandma's cancer, dad's diabetes) seem to prove family curse. Religious teaching about 'open doors' and 'generational curses' makes your sins feel causative. Your developing moral awareness makes you hyperaware of failures.
Disciples saw a man blind FROM BIRTH and asked Jesus, 'Who SINNED, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?'—assuming disability was punishment for someone's sin. Jesus said, 'NEITHER this man nor his parents sinned'—completely REJECTED the sin-punishment-sickness connection. He said the situation existed 'that the works of God should be revealed in him,' then HEALED him. Jesus demolished the lie that sickness is punishment.
I REFUSE the lie that this diagnosis is punishment. IT IS WRITTEN: Christ REDEEMED me from EVERY curse by becoming a curse FOR me. Every sickness, every disease, every generational pattern was placed on JESUS, not on me. IT IS WRITTEN: there is NO condemnation for those in Christ, which means NO punishment, NO payback, NO curse that survived the cross. Jesus broke every generational curse over my family LINE when He died and rose again. I am blessed, not cursed. I am under GRACE, not law. The Abrahamic blessing is MINE through Christ—blessed in my body, blessed in my health, blessed coming and going. This sickness is ILLEGAL TRESPASS on redeemed property, and I command it to LEAVE in Jesus' name.
Your Father isn't using sickness to punish you for past sins—He punished JESUS instead so you could go free. Like the father never mentioned the prodigal's prostitutes or wasted money, never brought up his failures, only celebrated his RETURN, God isn't keeping a record of wrongs. He's keeping a record of RIGHTEOUSNESS—yours, purchased by Jesus, permanent and unshakeable.
