"The world is ending soon, so there's no point in planning my future or dreaming big."
How it sounds in your head: Everyone's talking about how bad things are getting. Why should I study hard or think about what I want to be? Jesus is coming back any day now, so none of this matters. My dreams feel stupid if the world's just going to end anyway.
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope."
-- Jeremiah 29:11Enemy strategy to abort destiny before it launches - stealing vision from the next generation.
He sees news headlines, hears adults saying 'these are the last days,' and watches prophecy videos on YouTube. Every natural disaster or war feels like proof the end is here, making his future feel pointless.
Joseph had massive dreams at 17 in a family that hated him and a world that looked hopeless for him. God didn't say 'stop dreaming, I'm ending everything' - He made those dreams come true and Joseph saved nations.
I REFUSE the lie that my future is cancelled because of what's happening in the world. IT IS WRITTEN that God has plans for MY future and MY hope. I am covenant seed of Abraham, and the BARAK blessing doesn't expire when the news gets scary. IT IS WRITTEN that I will live and not die, and declare the works of the LORD. My dreams are God-seeds, not time-wasters. I am a world-changer planted for THIS generation, and my best days are AHEAD, not behind. Even if Jesus returns tomorrow, TODAY I walk in purpose.
Your Father isn't cancelling your future - He's protecting it. He sees you as a 17-year-old Joseph with dreams too big for your current circumstances, and He's RUNNING toward you with the interpretation and the plan.
